The first step in our method, the in-depth brief, underpins our entire approach to recruitment. Understanding your requirements is key to finding the ‘best fit’ for the position and for your company culture. This is why our consultants work closely with your business’ management or HR to establish a profile for your ideal candidate, to target those qualities in our search.
IRC undertakes extensive industry mapping to assess and analyse your specialist area, to find potential team solutions. We use our industry mapping to reach a wider pool of candidates, increasing the effectiveness of the recruitment process.

After industry mapping has been completed and candidates have been identified from our extensive database, we prepare a shortlist of the most promising candidates. This selection is achieved by screening resumes against the in-depth brief we have obtained. Those candidates believed to be appropriate are invited to attend an interview with our consultants to discuss their suitability and interest in the position.
The interview process and reference check is important in ensuring that each of our candidates have the suitable technical and behavioural qualities before they reach our clients. In some cases there may be several rounds of interviews starting with a phone interview and followed by a one hour face-to-face discussion.
Our consultants pride themselves on their skill at reading and assessing candidates behaviour at interview. References also give a valuable insight into a candidate’s qualities and help verify skills. We make certain of our candidates’ credentials and past experience by contacting several professional and personal references.
After interviewing, a detailed report of each successful candidate is written and submitted for your appraisal.
IRC aims to establish working relationships with both clients and candidates. For this reason, our aftercare is essential to enhancing our partnership with you. We stay in regular contact with you in the early part of your contract to ensure that the match was a success. Should either party have any concerns in the critical on-boarding stage, we contact our clients to discuss it in further detail and make ourselves available for group discussions.
